Medical residency or consulting

I go to a top 10 medical school in the US. I've always been interested in business/econ/tech related stuff but decided on medicine for job security and probably because it was the path of least resistance. I absolutely regret coming to medical school as it has been the worst 3 years of my life. The constant memorization of useless facts coupled with negative work culture, minimal impact, and time it will probably take to become financially independent really turns me off to this career. Now that I am almost 25 years old, im not sure if i should continue with medicine or not. My primary goal is to be financially independent as soon as possible (4-6mil in investments). Now, i personally know friends who have gone the MBB route after medical school who seem to be doing well for themselves. Consulting salaries sounds much better than 4 years of residency even with moonlighting in pgy-3 and 4.
Problem is I have no background in finance/investing so I'm not that great at summarizing which career option would be the best to attain FI ASAP. So would it be best if i skip residency in order to avoid wasting 4 years and start investing early?
other relevant info: applying into EM (300k full time attending salary in 4 years), around 50k residency salary for 4 years. don't know much about malpractice insurance etc.
I know hours/lifestyle are gonna be bad for anything but I feel like if i start making money sooner, then i'll be able invest earlier and be FI.
