“Mellon Investments” in Boston

Anyone have any info on this firm? A friend of mine just interviewed here and said it might be one of the most underrated AMs in the industry. I’ve literally never heard of them outside of BNY Mellon -is he blowing smoke bc of his interview or are they legit? Apparently they just merged three BNY boutiques into one firm - managing 500B? Curious as to why this firm doesn’t pop up in conversations in industry (I work in AM in texas) or on WSO? Did a linkedin search and they have some PMs with good backgrounds and a mix of non targets / targets (which would make me think this would be popular around WSO).

Yeah they don't seem all that "experienced" either. Usually people in the E&R division all have serious designations like the CFA or they were MBA's. I don't see many CFA's there, only a few. Not that it's a bad thing, but it's just rare to see. I feel like the designations are just money grabs anyway, Peter Lynch never had a CFA! lol
