Merger Model & LBO Interview Questions
Is it common for banks to ask merger model and LBO questions in interviews for summer analysts? I know they are in the 400 questions guide, but from what I've heard from a few people these types of questions aren't asked very often at most firms, excluding the EB's. Just trying to figure out if these concepts are worth learning coming from an LAC background, or if I should focus my time on really nailing down the accounting/valuation technicals. Any information is greatly appreciated.
I think just pin-point prep for interview will only get you so far. Best attitude should be you know pretty much everything that includes merger model and LBO and be ready for any possible question. And if you're well prepped, you would be like 'Throw me the hardest technicals, I know my shit, this is my chance to stand out'
not common at all at my BB, we would walk you through the steps if we did ask a question related to one of these.
