They brought in a couple of heavy hitters from Eastern Consolidated about a couple of years ago. They are good, but they will never be as big as their debt arm.

They mostly work on Non-Exclusive deals. Somewhat weak and late to the game in my opinion.

Seriously? So just like their debt platform.

Interested as well.

See they posted an Analyst gig for NYC IS. Asking 2-4 yrs experience, email models, and Argus test given.

Why do these brokerage shops ask for such crazy experience for Analyst role?

They ask for the experience because they can get it. Also they are constantly doing BOV's and modeling properties they are trying to sell. They want someone who can do the work correct the first time and not need to worry. Brokerage is a business on commissions and it is about selling for your clients - the less areas a broker can screw up the process the more likely it is the broker makes money.

Pudding is 100% correct. Plus if the salary is 75-99k (searched the position) then they are paying for that turn-key/set it and forget it type of experience.

Wow that's high for a brokerage analyst not named Eastdil. And that's without bonus? Damn.

Argus test was difficult, I got the impression they are more concerned with Argus competency than excel. Despite the fact that Argus can be taught in a week.
