Mezzanine Private Equity - Lifestyle/Comp/Exit?

Curious to get a sense of what the typical associate position (post investment banking) is like at a mezzanine private equity fund, specifically around compensation (base/bonus/carry) and what the typical career path is (or if people exit to other industries). I am specifically talking about the LMM funds that are $200-$400 million (both SBIC and traditional) that provide junior capital - subordinated debt and common equity.

Thanks!
