MFE today or MBA tomorrow

Hi guys,

Profile :
French/American citizen
21 Years old
top 5% in French undergraduate

Situation :
In April I finished my undergraduate in France and as almost all continental Europeans I thought I would be heading to do a masters degree after a year off. Before going on a year off I decided to find an internship which quickly became a full-time offer. So I abandoned my year off to work and accepted the offer.
This big 4 work consists of being half time in the Transaction Services group and other half creating a FinTech hub and therefore doing management consulting and fund-raising for startups. My team is great and i often work directly with the Partner.

Problem :
I always thought about going to Masters in finance or management (LSE, LBS, MIT...) but now that I have a full time job I am curious about the MBA route, would it be possible to get a top 7 MBA in the US with my current job in 2 years time? My goal is to go in VC or PE.

Thank you in advance for your answers,

For everything GMAT related I am not too worried I have already been working on it for masters applications .

Sounds like you have a cool profile for a French guy. Given that you are French and seem to have solid work experience - I'd say that you probably have a decent chance of getting into a US M7 school. You were in the top 5% of your class in undergrad - did you attend a grande ecole....I assume so....that's another bonus.

Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss your candidacy/share your CV. I lived in France for 6 years so I'm familiar with the landscape.

Best, Leah
