Middle Market local investment bank - who do I email

There is a mid-market investment bank in my city, at least two people I've discovered went to my alma matter. Who should I email? Should I try to network with the people who went to my college who are at the bottom of the totem pole (analyst and administrative) or send something to the higher ups with my resume. I am from this city and grew up here so I think that makes a difference. I would personally rather send something to someone responsible for hiring and not BS around with the analyst and admin who I have no interest in talking to lol.
