Mike Brown to Lakers

What does everyone think of this impending move?

Kinda out of the blue, I was fully expecting Rick Adelman to get it. And he probably was the better choice.

Mike Brown is a good defensive coach but I dont trust him offensively with this Lakers team.

DISCLAIMER: not a Lakers fan.

I highly doubt the Lakers will allow him to ditch the traingle, they've won five championships with it. I think he's going to come in and learn the triangle well and just beef up the defense. Either way, I think it might be a good fit. This upcoming year will be the last year Kobe and company have a legitimate shot at the title....

Wow. You cannot think that the triangle, a staple of Phil Jackson will still be used when Mike Brown (now confirmed) is coach. Perhaps they use elements of it, but its alien to Mike Brown. Why would a coach implement a offensive set that he doesnt know and was used by his predecessor?!

As a Lakers fan, I'm pretty upset. MIke Brown is not a good coach, and on top of that we had the perfect candidate in house, Brian Shaw. Unless the Lakers can bring Dwight Howard in for next year there could be trouble in LA.

Simply the job was too big for Brian Shaw to start off with. If the team was in transition, yes he would have been hired. Right call not hiring him.

LA is still a contender but Kobe showed his age in the Mavs series. Window is closing.

LA has a great chance with Dwight if he wants a trade. Dont see it happening this upcoming season. Perhaps a sign and trade at the end of the season. But depending on the season plays out that may be too late for Kobe
