military transition to IB

I’m a technician in the navy completing a B comm fin at night school on the side. Will be aiming to break into IB in a couple of years and wondering if anyone can comment any anecdotes / advice on vets in IB.

Probably the easiest way to do this (based on what I think is your situation), would be to finish your degree while still in the navy, then prepare to get into a good business school immediately after you EAS. I had a few fellow veteran classmates who were enlisted, got their undergraduate degrees while still in service, and entered business school shortly after EASing, and were successful in recruiting for various competitive post-MBA jobs, like IB, consulting, tech, etc. There are probably other ways to do it, but this is the strategy with the highest probability of success, although it will have a longer time horizon, and be predicated on your ability to get into a competitive MBA program.

Hope this helps, and good luck.
