Misdemeanor Job Offer

I am working at a large firm as tech support. I have recently gone through an ugly divorce in which my x created a protective order against me and falsified many things.

One of those things she lied about was me striking our daughter. As time went by, i was told by the city i was being charged with child abuse. I got a lawyer and he worked out a deal with them to reduce the charge to simple assult. Also, the prosecutor agrees to allow me to use a diversion program, pay a fine and after 12 months drop the case.

This is a class b misdemeanor, not to be any conviction as long as i pay the fine and take the class. I am currently going through a background check with the firm. I did disclose briefly on their form that my x was accusing me of disciplining our daughter, and that the case was in the court system.

I am willing to give more details if they ask. Not hiding anything. Should I be concerned about this situation or is there no real reason to worry? Any thoughts about this would be helpful.
