I had a networking call set up for the afternoon a few days ago and I was under the impression that the analyst was going to call me. They never called so I figured they were just busy and they would reach out to me later when to reschedule or maybe they just weren't interested anymore. Later that day I went back into my emails and realized they had sent me a calendar invite saying I would call them. I immediately reached out and apologized for missing the call. Do you think the analyst will not get back to me/will this preclude me from getting other networking calls at the bank.

Probably yes to the former and almost definitely no to the latter. He might be understanding but he might not be (did something similar when I was doing networking calls and the guy didn't call me back) but he probably wouldn't take the time to let HR know what happened and tell them you should be blacklisted, etc.. not enough time in the day to put energy towards that but in the future it's a good lesson learned.
