Modeling Apparel Retailers
I am building a financial model for apparel retailers and are faced with the following challenge: How do I forecast growth rates in the current environment?
At present, mall traffic is declining, online retailers like Amazon are aggressively moving into the space and in the case of many apparel retailers such as AEO, URBN, ANF and BKE, there has been a general decline in sales primarily post 2014.
I just want to hear the thoughts of people on how they would go about forecasting the growth rate for an apparel retailer and the assumptions they are making.
