[Moelis Update] Moelis Reminds Staff To Treat Young Bankers Well

I thought I'd share an article posted on Bloomberg about this Moelis fiasco. WSO is mentioned in the second paragraph. I was waiting for Raich to do a little damage control.

"Raich, 51, addressed managing directors after industry forum Wall Street Oasis posted parts of an email that a “Moelis Staffer” sent to the firm’s analysts after discovering many of them weren’t in the office after midnight, according to a blog post on the website."

The user with the most MS I've seen on one comment in awhile was (kind of) mentioned: "The post on Wall Street Oasis sparked a range of comments, with some defending the point made by the email. 'This is how all investment banks work,' a commenter wrote."

I doubt much will change over there. This attempt to alleviate the situation was risible. I guess their class of interns this year is the largest it's ever been. Anyways, here's the article if you're interested in reading it: Moelis Reminds Staff to Treat Young Bankers Well

Great exposure for WSO but unfortunate that the Bloomberg journalist didn't note that the person that said that "all investment banks" comment was heavily disagreed with by the user base.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

I lol'd at what Raich said in the meeting about preserving the analyst experience.

"In the meeting, Raich acknowledged that there’s been a lot of work to do -- arguing that’s a good thing -- and reiterated that the firm is hiring more people at the junior rank of analyst to spread the workload, one of the people said."
