MONEY is the new RACISM
The bad behavior of the richest: what I learned from wealth managers
After reading about the bad behaviours the rich do and are able to escape from, while the poor get punished and condemned on, AND after watching a Kanye West interview, it got me thinking ... MONEY IS THE NEW RACISM.
We cannot look down upon the poorer and think they deserve it because they are they are "lazy, drug-addicted, or possessed poor habits", because these are the characteristics that some "rich" people have.
How many celebrities or "rich" individuals have been caught doing drugs or being idle at home but got excused by the public as we see them as victims instead of being responsible for their own doings?
Let's stop the BS ignorant way of thinking and discrimination, not all relatively "poorer" or "richer" individuals possess great or poor behaviours. Let's not judge people with our preconceived notion and beliefs but do our best in understanding other people through empathy and compassion.
Only then, can we help the "poorer" people in their economic/financial conditions and get the "rich" to do some good for the world instead of just indulging in their money while consuming our earth's limited resources (like what parasites do).
**Note that I quoted "rich" and "poor" because wealth is not measured by how much money we have, but what we have left after we lost all our money. A quote taken from H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
I think you are the wrong site. This is a finance site not the comment section for the Atlantic.
This is under the "Other" section where business and other global issues can be discussed.
Are you high? Lol yes that’s called classism and has been a staple of humanity since the idea of wealth was created.
This article is to raise awareness, do not assume everyone knows about the effects and symptoms of classism
thx for raising awareness stay woke
Pretty much.
Its Wednesday isn't it? I mean damn, give me a break.
And stop bogarting Goldie - - - damn it pass me the lucky charms!!!||

"Lucky Charms from Bodhi Seeds is potent hybrid cross between The White and Appalachia. It may be named after breakfast cereal, but this strain tastes far more like tangy fruit than it does marshmallows. Lucky Charms does, however, boast an enticing coat of sugary resin inherited from its trichome-heavy parent, The White. When grown indoors, Lucky Charms flowers after 9 weeks."

.
Maybe. But your presence is bothering me.
difference between the rich and poor engaging in the same behavior is that the rich took care of their responsibilities and grinded before acting like a jackass
Let me guess... you're poor.
Humans have this funny way of seeing the past as most positive than it was. When was money NOT important? In some ways, it is less important than ever due to the democratization of information, luxury items, technology, etc.
You're never going to make the world a better place.
"Raising Awareness" is nonsense fed to idealistic fools obsessed with themselves on social media.
You can make yourself a better person. Then you can focus on raising a good son/daughter. Then you can live as an example. Few will ever notice, none have to.
Do not force down your shallow opinions as facts to others when you know so little, at least for the first two sentences.
Second sentence I agree, but we still need to spread awareness
Ah, spend all of your banana points on giving me monkey shit and now you just have to resort to bad snark? Also you are complaining people are forcing their opinions down your throat when you started this entire thread doing exactly the same thing. I can logically argue that your opinions are far more shallow and uninformed than those to which you comment on.
If you want to believe that you can make a difference, you'll end up heartbroken with your lack of results.
There's a ton of reasons people are "poor" and some are "rich". There's no real, long-term solution outside of learning about your own faults and weaknesses that can help the majority of people held down by the former.
as a wealth manager for the 1%, this article is baloney. the vast vast vast majority of wealthy people I've ever interacted with are not like this. tax avoidance (the legal kind, not evasion), sure, that's common (just like when you used to hide your tips from the restaurant from the IRS), but calling poor people crackheads? cmon man
Thanks for your insights, the poor was not called crackheads, only the ones who do it as with the rich
