Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners

From my understanding, MS AIP does primaries, co-investments, and secondaries. Basically a fund of funds (FoF). Does anyone know how hard analysts/associates get worked in their suburban philly office?

Also wondering what the exit opps are like since this isn't traditional private equity. Would it be possible to go to a direct shop after this or probably not? I've also read that at direct shops you only stay 2 yrs, do your MBA, and then have to re-recruit if you want to come back. so what do you do if you want to continue to invest and make operational changes in a company? for background i went to a target school and studied finance so don't really want to go back to get an MBA

i'm speaking with the team and wondering whether to pursue a role in primaries/co-invest.

would also love any insights on what their salary range is for analysts!

thank you
