Morgan Stanley Currency Middle Office

Hello monkeys,

I am a fellow monkey who is in crisis mode. After graduating and moving to NY, I have only been able to land 2 BS back/mid office jobs in Currency. It is not even exciting, I pretty much sit and look at fax requests and speak to PWM brokers about how they need to fill out a WIRE FORM. I've already passed CFA Level 1 and am taking Level 2 in June. I started at BBH 9 months as a temp, then moved to MS as a temp again and another 10 months later my contract is up. The only reason I took these gigs is to stay out in this city while I look for something else. I want something that involves financial modeling. My question to you is this... If you were in my shoes....do you
A- Exclusively search for position, (not necessarily front office, but something that may involve data/financial modeling) and risk a gap in my resume
B- Take the Mid Office Equities Analyst Ops at Goldman Sachs- although it is another temp job pay is wayyyyyy better.

Please advise,
mofos
