Morgan Stanley IBD interview
Hi there,
Just got a call from Morgan Stanley, they call and ask for a technical test with them for their ibd management team analyst next week.
Can anyone tell me what does the technical test they mean? What will it be asked/tested during it?
Anyone know what does the ibd management team analyst does? it's different from ibd analyst....

Sounds like a back office position
They will probably ask you relatively basic questions regarding valuations
Were you a summer analyst at any point in the past? If not, it's probably a middle-front office position.
I was an off-cycle intern in Deutsch Bank before....

Hi there,
I got an technical test from MS's IBD in HK recently. They will be conducting an in-person computer-based examination which will last for 1.5hours.
The technical examination will be a simulation of one of the key deliverables required for the role, and it is designed to test data analysis and data presentation skills essential to the role. It will involve basic operations of Microsoft office (incl. Excel and PowerPoint). No additional preparation is required.
Does the above mean they will provide me some reading materials and I'll have to prepare a ppt presentation and present it to them? What kind of presentations will they normally ask candidates to work on?

Friend did some recruiting at our alma mater for MS IBD but basically said they were interviewing almost for the hell of it b/c they weren't sure if they wanted to take anyone for final rounds.
