Morgan Stanley Investment Management Vs MetLife International Investments

Hey Y'all

Received an offer from MetLife Investments. Particularly, an analyst position with the International team within portfolio management.

During my final round they really blew me away with what appears to be a fantastic culture (that ex Met employees confirmed), very reasonable hours and what seems to be work that isnt just about being an excel monkey. Not to mention, MetLife is famous for promoting from within and retaining employees for the long term. Lastly, they are offering a salary that is just over 60k. Needless to say I am very excited ( scratch that ECSTATIC) about the offer.

I have a final round with MSIM and havent heard much know about what it is like to be an analyst at MSIM. Can anybody shed light about the culture, opportunities, salary etc. What do you think I should consider?

when i asked them about the positions they only said Sales and Marketing. it was wack. email the head recruiter. i was in contact with two hr guys named torrence and and logan.

Congrats, man. MetLife is an incredible gig -- places like that are where you can have a career with a real work life balance -- and the pay scales up very quickly, too. Beyond that, even if you hate it, 3 years as an analyst there will allow you to go work at just about any buyside public market based asset manager.

Definitely a good call over sales at MSIM if you want to do portfolio management. Go celebrate!

You have no idea how happy you just made me. Thanks a lot!
