I had a superday in mid December and it has been almost a month and I haven't heard back. I'm assuming I'm on the waitlist... but is this normal?

Should I email HR asking for an update?

Being honest, you're probably not going to get it. Some banks/groups are pretty irritating about sending out rejections or letting you know if you're on hold.

Hopefully you're on hold/waitlist. Keep recruiting and see if you can get another offer so you can try to get a response from MS asap.

Good luck.

Did you ever hear back?

Who cares? If you're rejected, is it really going to matter about your speculation?

Nov 13, 2017

rejected most likely. MS almost never takes online applications serious. Get in contact with someone at MS, that's the only chance you have.

Nov 13, 2017

they get a lot of resumes and peruse them very carefully...about 1 hour per resume to get all the info so it takes a while

Nov 13, 2017

haha you got rejected. I'm sorry.

Nov 13, 2017

You're probably not considered their top applicant, so they're keeping you in line until all the positions are filled. That means you won't be formally and officially rejected until the end of their hiring process when you get the email. There's always a chance people in front of you with offers might drop off, so don't lose hope!

they are pretty slow on updating that status page.

if you did OCR, then i wouldnt even looking at the page as I have been offer an position and it still says "status unavailable"

Nov 13, 2017

Thanks guys. I was thinking of emailing them, but I guess i'lll accept my fate haha

I thought they have filled out the full time analyst programs w/ interns already. Sounds like the market is indeed coming back.

Nov 13, 2017

They have given out all their offers, that does not mean everyone will accept. These two superdays were used to fill the slots of the SA that dont accept offers. BTW this was for FT

couldn't imagine there will be kids rejecting MS IBD NY FT offers

Nov 13, 2017

Some of the larger boutiques (Moelis, Lazard, Evercore) were slower-moving in the FT hiring process this year. I know a number of guys who have yet to accept their summer offer or their offer from an accelerated process with a BB because they haven't yet finished OCR with the boutiques.

Nov 13, 2017

I agree, I also know some people in the same situation. MS analysts were asking kids for resumes last week so as I said in another post, they are scheduling additional superdays for candidates this month. Obviously my post doesn't really address your question but I figured some people might appreciate the heads up

Nov 13, 2017

FT or SA??

Nov 13, 2017

Anyone here anything?

Nov 13, 2017

I had my resume submitted earlier in the week, and a recruiter contacted me yesterday afternoon. She basically said they are still waiting on summer analysts to accept offers and will reach out to me in early October pending any vacancies. As for my chances, I don't feel very good about MS but good luck to those that went to the accelerated superday.

Anyone hear back yet?

Nov 13, 2017

Yea I got the rejection last week

Nov 13, 2017

Where did you interview? Was it final round interviews?

I had mine in Boston last week. They were final round interviews consisting of interactions with four bankers. According to the recruiter, they're going to visit INSEAD and a few other schools before they release decisions. It's unclear when decisions will be made public. I heard they were supposed to go out last week, but neither me nor my friends have heard anything yet.

Do you know of anyone who has received offers yet? (btw, i am a US MBA candidate)

Nov 13, 2017

Hey..

I had mine also around that time (Feb 2), final round interview but for the analyst position in Asia.
Until now, I still have not hear anything yet from them, which worry me too.

I don't know how long they usually will get back with regards to the decision. But between the first round and final round, i think for my case, it took them around 2 weeks.
Anyone else in the same situation?

Hello,

@Bottleopener- I had video conference interviews(4 interviews) in Boston. I asked HR about the next steps and she told me that if I get selected then I will have to travel to NY or London for superday. How much time did they take to get back to you after the first round?

Nov 13, 2017

Hey,

Have any of you heard anything yet from Morgan Stanley?
I am getting pessimistic about it.

Nov 13, 2017

No.. Still waiting.. I am going to call the HR tomorrow!

Nov 13, 2017

my friend got it a day after the superday so...

Nov 13, 2017

hey...heard day of.
