WSO - FT - WSJ - BW (Only B-School Section) - Yahoo Finance
This is actually a legit question as you might be asked this in an interview. GS even goes so far as to list on it's web site what they see as the "top" news sites/publications.
For me: NY Times (especially the business / dealbook sections) Financial Times Wall Street Journal South China Morning Post Bloomberg.com (rather, preview.bloomberg.com since I'm automatically sent there somehow) BBC News Dealbreaker blog is amusing/sometimes chats up rumor's you'll hear clients/MD's/CFO's discussing and is a good source to get the hearsay and info you won't see printed in a WSJ/FT/Bloomberg
4chan, bloomberg, 6spdonline, supraforums, bimmerforums, lewrockwell.com, mises.org
WSO & a couple of other off-topic forums
My Google Reader account follows:
a few Seeking Alpha feeds Dealbook (go away, WSJ) a few CNBC news feeds
I've seen Barron's mentioned a couple times in this thread and others, is it worth getting a subscription?
doesn't it come with a WSJ subscription these days?
realclearmarkets.com realclearpolitics.com
both aggregators of op. ed. / news content
collegefuckfest
good post.
some of the sites mentioned - wsj, economist, etc. - and on the other end of the spectrum, wso and sometimes artsandlettersdaily.
i guess if you're gangster enough you will also read the spectator hahah. it's what the new yorker wishes it was.
to whomever threw monkey shit at me-
how do you not like collegefuckfest?
Drudge, WSJ, Bloomberg, USA Today, The Agitator, Economist
Really? No zerohedge? I know you have to take it with a grain of salt, but they have a lot of good unique content.
FT, PropertyWeek, PEREnews, Huffington Post, WSO, BBC News, TSN.ca
Economist, mises.org, econTalk, cafehayek, Greg Mankiw's blog, FT, Cato, WSO, WSJ.
Is Barron's worth subscribing to ?
Finviz has pretty much everything I need in terms of news, and then Bloomberg for charts/analysis.
Although this is for trading, in my PE internship as a freshmen dailyshow.com was pretty much on the top of the list.
I just checked out Finviz, the news section is awesome. Besides the already mentioned websites, TechCrunch is a fun read.
Dealbook.
