Never ever.. bought my girl a clothing item, purse or jewelry over $200.. besides the engagement ring

Easily one the dumbest financial moves you can make. Fortunately we’re on the same page and would much rather spend that money on plane tickets, hotels and food.

Bought a girl a $400 bracelet. Money is all relative though. When you make $20k per month in a cheap city, a $400 bracelet for her birthday just isn’t a big deal.

Don’t ever spend more than you can reasonably afford bc you’ll end up hating the girl. I think handbags are out of the question for me even at my income level. Not dropping $1700 on a handbag unless she’s my wife

Maybe a couple hundred bucks for my girl in a LTR, that's it.

With STR, never found myself in a situation that I had to buy my way into a chick's pants.

3k on various healthcare needs and doctors visits, thankfully she's Russian so its not that expensive.  Also new phone and laptop but those were also needed cause her previous ones were old and nearly broken

Paid for my long term gf to come on vacation with me after my analyst stint was over. The vaca cost ~$8k total. I'd never really gone on a trip before and wanted to go with someone I cared about and she couldn't afford it. For me it made sense to. It was an unforgettable experience and would do it over and over again.

Funniest

He caught her being eiffel-towered by 2 other dudes when he got back to their room

We've already gone over the Pizz creation story. High school salutatorian who used to invite girls to study with him and basically got used for 4 years for HW answers without getting any action.

Still waiting for the story about your ex and sex after marriage

Going to flip this one - was dating a mega rich girl who would not stop buying me gifts with parents money. Always new golf shirts and sweaters and a ton of random shit, like every other week. I explained to her why I thought it was inappropriate, chiefly because it wasn’t her money, and she didn’t seem to understand.
