Moving From Commercial Real Estate Lending to Private Banking - Career Switch

Hi all, I've been a CRE Lending Credit Analyst (2 years) then Underwriter (2 years) for the past 4 years at one of the major U.S. banks (think Wells Fargo, Citi, BofA, etc.). I am interested of moving from CRE Lending to Private Banking. Can I break in without getting an MBA? Or an MBA will help me to re-brand and re-position myself and give me a better chance to get recruited into Private Banking Group at places like JP Morgan, UBS, Credit Suisse, and Goldman?

Note, I am bilingual, fluent in Chinese Mandarin.

Thank you in advance for all of your insights!
