Moving From Real Estate Fund Management to KPMG Corporate Finance
Dear All
Just a bit of background. I have been in the Real Estate business for 4 years and currently work more on the fund management side of REPE with no new acquisition mandate. but I always keen to try out M&A / Corp Finance role. Given my background is quite thick in RE, it is pretty hard to make a move to M&A / Corp Finance role, even though I am a CFA charterholder. However, recently KPMG is willing to give a chance, albeit with 2% salary discount, and going to offer a role in its corporate finance team.
Given that this probably my best and last shot to give a try for this role, what do you guys think?
Just on the side note, I am definitely put a heavy consideration to move for a more RE transaction role in REPE - however for some reasons, despite all the interviews I have been, no offers yet so far in this field.
