Moving from REIT to Investment Sales/Capital Markets

Just curious if anyone has made the jump from a REIT to Investment Sales/Capital Markets. ew role would be for a large shop, top 5 east coast market. Would be working on office portfolio. What was your experience like going from owner to third party. Would you make the same move again or stay in your prior role?

Background: 4th year senior analyst working for publicly traded REIT in Acquisitions/Asset Management, portfolio of 210 retail assets. Comp is okay.
