Moving into trading
Hi guys, so I'm currently working as a quant researcher mostly, and also in part a product owner role, for a fin-tech startup, and looking to gauge the plausibility and pathways to moving into quant trading.
A little about me, I'm relatively new to finance, starting my current job in the Jan 2021, and have a primarily academic background. I have 5 master's degrees in pure and applied mathematics, economics and econometrics, and artificial intelligence--all from top institutions in the US and the UK. But that's it. Besides my current role, no other relevant experience.
Any feedback on how someone with a profile like mine might get into quant trading would be much appreciated. I'm also interested in how "hard" such a move might be, and what I could do to put myself in the best possible position to get these opportunities. All relevant commentary is most welcome.
Thanks!
