Moving with Big 4 Advisory

Hi everyone,

Question regarding Big4 Advisory - how easy is it to transition within the Advisory function? I imagine it would require a bit of networking, but I'm wondering if it's easier within the same line of service?

For some background: I'm considering a role within Big 4 Advisory within finance transformation; however, I ideally want to move into Deals at some point. I used to work in Big 4 audit, but after a few years of working there I tried to transition into Advisory. No luck, as I eventually learned switching between lines of service was next to impossible. So I left the firm to pursue an MBA, graduated, and I now could be closer to the deals function, but not yet there.

Does anyone have some experience in this or insights?
