MS Menlo Park or NY?

Hey guys, I have to inform MS whether I would like Menlo Park over New York or vice versa in a couple of days.

I heard analysts in Menlo Park are paid waaaaaay better than the ones in New York, but I'm not sure if that's true.

Which one would you guys choose?

I hear phenomenal things from interns about MS Menlo. If this is for summer you will get worked, but it's a good culture and you learn a ton. Obviously you'll also make more money, but I don't know how important that is. I'd just be worried about being stuck in Menlo full time

Definitely two completely different places. One of my good friends interned in Menlo and loved it. Said he made a killing but it literally consumed his summer. If its for full time, I personally would probably go with NY (after all you are in NYC) but you really cant go wrong with either one for an internship. If its a full time job then I would try and find out more about the culture and figure out whats most important for you. Then go from there.

Alright, Alright, Alright...

I was out at the Menlo office for their first Summer Associate superday last week and agree that it is the single best office that you could be in if you are interested in Tech IB. The leadership of that group is legendary, and yeah, I'm sure it's a mindboggling amount of work, but you get the experience of a lifetime. You will cover the most innovative, high profile technology companies on the planet and the location on Sand Hill Road puts you in the heart of the VC universe. I've met a significant amount of the total group and I have been incredibly impressed by everyone that I've spoken with. It seems like a great culture and a phenomenal place to be, although I can imagine it being very intense.

Long V, MA, AXP, DOGE.

LA is the pace you really want to be. If you need to work in Menlo for a while to get there than so be it. That being said, you should chose NY if the job is substantially better in terms of skills/experience.
