Msc (Brandeis, U Illinois, Babson, JHU, Ohio State) or Duke MMS
Hi Guys,
I've been accepted to the MS Finance programs at Brandeis, U Illinois, Babson, JHU andOhio State and the MMS program at Duke. Which school will give me the best prospects of getting into IB or consulting in New York?
Thanks for your input.
Duke, of course
May I ask why? Thanks
brand, OCR, alums, professors
is this flashing your admit papers? I concur that the answer is quite obvious if you did any due diligence yourself.
Sorry, but I'm a complete noob. I honestly came here looking for advice from people who are more informed than I am.
well i hope it's true. But you applied to this many places and you can hardly be dumb to drop $$ on app fees alone. Fine. Duke most likely helps best.
The answer is Duke. UIUC and OSU aren't bad, but the Duke brand alone wins.
I know some people who attended Babson... they are doing much better than people with comparable grades from target schools...
Take that as you will -- but that school cranks out successful alumni. I had heard they have some of the highest average earning alumni but not sure if that's true?
Having recently graduated from Babson's inaugural MSF class (1 of 4 people), Magna Cum Laude, and now, 3 months later am still job hunting, I would highly advise anyone, and everyone, to avoid that program indefinitely. Job placement is sitting at 0%, as everyone is either unemployed, or grossly underemployed to the point of being an office secretary. Program Director, Michael Goldstein, along with other senior members of the Graduate School, care only about their own egos. Abandon ship, and do not end up like me.
