Applying to lbs mim after rejection from mfa

Hi guys, i retook gmat scoring 720(q49, v40).

I was rejected by lbs mfa (not even called to the interview). They considered my previous gmat (670, low verbal) and I believe it had a huge impact on the decision.

Do you think that if I apply to lbs mim with new gmat score I have chances even if it is the last round? Or the problem is that my profile is not good enough?

Profile:

coming from bocconi bachelor in international economics and finance (Italian guy)

gpa 3.73/4, major in finance gpa 4/4 (top 5%)

work experience: internship in one of the largest insurance company in europe in financial planning department , school internship in a vc firm

Extra curricular: students association in IB, 2 summer schools: one in oxbridge and one in ivy league, volunteering in church

yes. the difference between 670 and 720 is huge. It's equivalent to the difference between a 3.1 GPA & a 3.6 in my eyes. Definitely apply!

Your new GMAT score is definitely good but I thinks it’s best to contact the admissions team and find out if you should apply or not.
From my knowledge I’m pretty sure you can only apply once in an admission cycle so you’d have to wait till next year, but doesn’t hurt to ask the admissions team.

if you can’t apply this year you could get some more work experience, do some volunteering and try apply for the MFA again

All the best !
