MSF offers decion in a recession
Hi folks, I got MSF offers from Rochester/Villanova/WUSTL, MMS from Duke. Which would be your choice? Nova and Rochester offered half scholarships and I am still waiting for UT Austin. I did IB internship at a MM in junior summer. 23, male and ultimate goal is IB>PE.
Hey, mind I ask you what your gmat was and your gpa?
of course, gpa 4.0, gmat 670
From my review of the various universities on this forum, I would choose WUSTL or Nova as they place well into IB for their MSF program. You would still have to network a lot but it’s doable. I believe it’s possible for you to get into UT as well, but their MSF has only a small amount of people going to IB, and they’re the ones who plan to stay in Texas. It depends on where you want to live in the future as well. Rochester is just close to NY, which is easier to network but it’s not a high amount of students who get into IB, which is why the university you go to and the program matters both play an equal part in securing a future IB offer.

Just my two cents: I didn't really like Wash U's statistics. Look here: http://msfhq.com/washington-university-in-st-louis-msf-update-april-202…
I personally would go Duke or Nova, just depends on what you're trying to do post grad. I think if it's IB on east coast, Nova is a solid choice.
Go to Duke. Far and away the best banking recruiting.
I thought all banking recruiting for Master is depended on individuals especially it's a management studies program
You will be able to leverage Duke OCR and Duke alumni network, which are significantly better at duke than at the other schools. Duke is a target.
A friend I met on this site actually suggested to skip the MSF all long since recruiting in this fall will be very tough.
Anybody has any final thoughts?
