Multilingual double degree undergrad with hopes of entering renewable energy trading in Southeast-Asia

I am leaving for South-East Asia this fall for a one-year internship leaving behind a "charming" life in an inconspicuous small town in Sweden. My majors are finance and political economics from two well-known universities in the country and I have aspirations of working in the finance industry, preferably in Asia.

I could go into further detail regarding my background but the main purpose of this post would be in line with the title. So - does anyone possibly have any insight in the matter or even better, has anyone endeavored in a career move such as this? I.e. Working/has been working as a commodity/energy trader in Southeast Asia?

Appreciative of any advice!
