my interviewer just emailed me

So I had my superday with this BB 2 weeks back and just got an email from the interviewer (associate) asking me to call him coz he has some follow-up questions. Has anyone heard/seen this before? Any idea what might be going on ?

You're on the bubble and how well you answer those questions or clear up the confusion will determine whether you're in or not.

Usually means that either 1) they have questions about your background they want to clarify or 2) someone they initially extended an offer to declined or is not currently accepting, and so they're giving a call to you and some of the other top candidates to determine your "level of interest" and try to make another offer decision.

You most likely made a solid impression, but aren't in the top tier - a few "follow-up" questions is your chance to shine. If you nail these questions you've probably landed a position. If, however you don't nail them, I wouldn't completely count yourself out, as you've made a good impression, but they're looking for a bit more. I agree with Prime as well that someone who has previously received an offer could have backed out leaving a seat open. Relax, be yourself and crush those questions.
