My SA dilemna + Corporate Finance Internship

Hey everyone,

Like some others that have posted here recently, the recruiting season left me without a trading internship for the summer. My question is that if I go for a full-time trading role in the fall will me taking a corporate finance gig this summer be looked down upon greatly? I know its better than nothing but I'm just totally freaking and I'm getting the feeling that the door to trading jobs is slowly closing...

My stats: At a top 5 target bschool (think wharton, ross), with a 3.5 GPA, lots of extra curriculars with leadership experience, previous BB private wealth internships

As the bulge bracket firms have ended their recruiting season for SA, the prop shops are almost finished as well. I heard however that energy trading firms recruit much later, does anyone have a list of the top ones or could someone provide a link? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Once again I guess my main question would be how screwed would I be for FT recruiting if I took a corporate finance gig this summer?
