Mysterious Business Card in Used Book

Bought a used copy of "Inside the House of Money" from Amazon. To my greatest surprise, found a perfectly placed business card along with some cryptic handwritten notes and highlighted lines. The card is from a MD at a BB in London who is the head of a team in my industry and I have a couple of mutual connections on LinkedIn. I just started working at my current firm but would like to grow my network. Debating reaching out to him but would also regret not taking the risk.

Any thoughts on how I should approach this?

P.S. the card looks really cool. It's bone with something called Silian Rail lettering. Started clutching my fist and sweating profusely when holding this beauty.

Cheers!

Take the risk and reach out. There's nothing to lose by doing it.

Honestly, I think it makes for a kitschy and unique story - you bought a used copy of "Inside the House of Money" and his business card was there. You think the book was his. You both have mutual connections, all of whom said that he's XYZ (I'd reach out to your mutual connections, ask them about this guy (and tell them the story), so you have the mutual connection aspect covered), that you both work in the same vertical, and you were to connect/etc.
