National Guard with S&T?

I am looking in to potentially joining the National Guard, but am concerned about the impact this could have on my future prospects with working in S&T. I've asked around and the people I spoke with hadn't really heard of any circumstances where someone was on a Sales/Trading desk while also being in the Guard.

In terms of the commitment of joining the NG, it would be one weekend a month + a couple weeks a year, so I don't think that alone would interfere too much (or, at all really) with an S&T job. What I'm more concerned about is deployments... the specific job I'm looking into WILL get deployed abroad at some point.

Has anybody had any exposure to someone doing both? Would employers find the uncertainty around potential deployments too much to hire me?
