Need advice: Evercore M&A or GS TMT
Have offers from both for the NY offices.
Mainly interested in MF PE exits. Advice on which one is better?

Neither, learn to code. Go into tech.
Honestly, learning how to run a business is more valuable than any finance job. I’ve literally been thinking of working at Costco in strategy and opps. Not glamorous but hey, if one of the best business men on earth praises the business how bad could it be.

Obviously exits is a case of splitting hairs here; personally would take GS but cannot go wrong. Would ask yourself how much you like tech vs other potential interests
Congrats, you can't go wrong. Best two M&A jobs out there. I'd choose Evercore to avoid the GS bogus, heard GS TMT grinds their analysts to the bone. Evercore seems to have great culture.
GS TMT and this is coming from someone who took top EB over top BB
Any particular reason?
Yeah, why the regret?
I think GS TMT is the better option given the size of EVR's class sizes now. I think EVR is already around 40-50 new analysts a year and you'll be thrown into the hat with group placement (usually happens a few months into full-time).
By going to EVR you'd risk being placed in an industry you may not enjoy and perhaps suffer during exits. By choosing GS, you'll have guaranteed group placement in their top group and have loads of exits given you cover TMT.
Word of Advice:
I imagine you're probably a sophomore in college and think going to a MF is the golden ticket to success. I promise that as you get more and more experience and exposure to different fields you may realize going into PE is not what you want. I think many people are infatuated with working at the largest and most influential firms in the world, but I know several people who actively chose to recruit for MM PE firms because they wanted more flexibility in terms of WLB and others who chose to take offers from different industries than PE (even after receiving MF offers). GS will open more doors than EVR will in the long-run I think... Your career is ~40 years long...
