Need advice.. from big 4 TAS to credit research?

Hello. I'm a senior at a big 4 transaction service/FDD. I have 1.5 years experience in TAS and 2.5 years previously in big 4 audit. I received an offer to do credit research at a medium-sized asset management company.

I'm just quite bored with the accounting and quasi-legal work (reviewing tons of agreement, etc.) we're doing in TAS, not to mention to often long working hours and unpredictable workload. So I'm thinking doing credit research is something I'll enjoy more doing, and I'll get to learn more about economics/investment. I have several questions below:

How is the work-life balance working as credit research at an AM?

Do you think it is a good career move in terms of exit opps, and is it good for chance of admission to good MFin/MBA program?
