Need advice on Canadian undergrad business schools

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out the university ranks relative to what recruiters look for.
A) University of Toronto (Rotman or Scarbrough campus)
- My reasoning: UofT brand is known globally more than most Canadian schools.
B) Schulich Business School
- Reasoning: It's a great school but not known too well abroad. It could be argued that Schulich is the top 5 Canada wide.

I'm only considering schools in Toronto as my business work will be in Toronto.
I'm also considering Minoring in Computer Science (debating between getting a double major)

What are your takes? I love to hear any input.

Although you are only considering Toronto right now, that may not always be the case. Rotman is in a whole different league internationally than Schulich. Ask someone in NY/Chicago/London what Schulich is and they'll look at you funny. Even ask someone in Vancouver and there is a good chance they have no idea. Unless you have a strong reason (culture, grade inflation, network) to pick Schulich, it should be a no brainer to go with Rotman. Regardless, if you do decide to stay in Toronto long-term, you'll be fine either way.

Otherwise, a minor in CS is a great idea. A major would be too big of a commitment and a few classes wouldn't be enough. Do the bare minimum to get it on your resume for your highest ROI. I've brought up my coding skills in interviews and it has benefited me greatly.

Good luck!

There is more than one way to get there. I'd rather have 30 chapters than 3000 pages.

I would not go anywhere that isn't the main campus of said university (for example, people who went to UBC-O and claim to have gone to UBC).

I am not. Hopefully that makes me unbiased.

Thank you, The issue is, I'm currently at YorkU and am looking to trasnfer to either UofT or Schulich. My grades are steller + I got great ECs which is why I'm confident for getting accepted to either. BUT Rotman doesn't usually take transfer students which is why I'm not too sure what to do right now.

I transferred back when I was in university as well. If I could provide a piece of advice, it's different applying as a transfer than it is a HS student. I'd focus on your GPA. When I was applying for transfers none of the programs cared about my ECs.

Anyways - best of luck with the process!
