Need Career Advice- do need help

Hey all,

I have been trying to pursue IB for a while and has failed to do so.
Please give a look to what I have done and tell me some recommendations so I have a better chance of getting that IB job.

Semii-taget school(GPA 3.4)

2020 summer BAML front office role intern (Global banking/ wholesale credit)

2018-2020 Army service(multi national unit): served at a highest command group and received a medal

2018 summer: UBS PB intern

I am a international student in the US and would really like to secure a IB job in NYC (IF THEY EVEN STILL SPONSO)

Based on what I have done so far.. which comps or specific groups should I pursue?

And yes... I am gonna rake my ass to shoot up my GPA

IS IB M&A NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME?

NETWORK. That GPA ain't gonna get you nowhere on its own. That 2020 internship will. Networking will help me you get an interview so you can show what I hope is passion for the field.

Will update my computer soon and leave Incognito so I will disappear forever. How did I achieve Neanderthal by trolling? Some people are after me so need to close account for safety.

Echoing the above, I would try to network with your previous group, to see if you can take a longer route via internal lateral, or if they're willing to help you out, try to meet their IB counterparts at BAML.

I'm assuming, due to the 2 year period, you're a Korean military vet; if so, definitely try to network with other Korean professionals in the city through specific networking circles (KFS is one prominent one that comes to mind) or alumni / others that simply work in relevant fields with the same ethnic background.

UBS on the resume may harm your chances, heard some rumors that they started the coronavirus as an excuse for poor performance
