Boutique IB experience on my resume - Advice needed

Hello all! I am a recent college grad from a target school. During my time at school I did not recruit for IB which was a huge mistake largely due to the fact that I never had an internship prior to going there ( I transferred in from a community college).

I was lucky enough to score an internship over the summer for this fall at a small regional no name boutique in the south. As I've been there for around two months I've come to realize I no longer want to work at this bank and would like to take a shot at a bank in Manhattan.

I'm currently doing sell side M&A and I really need help how to phrase my experience here at this bank because I never wrote an investment banking blurb on my resume. Below is a list of what I feel would be suitable, for my experience for the position, as well written in my own words. I would love to get some feedback on this as my resume is looking tip top except for this one section. Please let me know what you think, and if you have any more advice or tips how to improve it that would be greatly appreciated. I want to start applying ASAP, and at this point I feel I might just go ahead with what I have but I don't want to sound  dumb about what I wrote.

Investment Banking Fall Analyst                                                                                                                    Month 2021 – Present

§ Constructed lists of strategic and financial buyers for multiple companies across various industries which initiated the marketing process for over 6 companies

§ Executed over 50+ Non-Disclosure Agreements over various deals and negotiated terms of NDA contracts

§ Created Confidential Information Memorandums for 6 different companies and conducted industry research and analysis to be presented within the CIM

§ Performed comparable companies analysis of private companies to determine EBITDA multiples and evaluate transaction values

§ Completed Due Diligence on over 4 deals by reviewing industry competitors, examining previous M&A transactions, and searching for public and private market research

Also I've created financial workbooks as well (consolidated IS, BS statements, made valuation matrixes, as well as compiled info and made precedent transaction worksheets)

Note: I also posted this on the job search forum too

Thanks for the start, I really appreciate it.

Yeah I definitely over shot how I wrote that. In terms of negotiation it was emailing back and forth with potential clients changing dates for terms. There was senior oversight on this as they would tell me what the changes would need to be. Maybe I shouldn't include this

The second point. I have created  a full CIM for a real small deal (about 7 slides) but there was a lot of overlook from seniors, and feedback being given. As well made industry slides, financial slides, etc. I'm currently tasked with building one from scratch for a tech company, as we get data from them. And yes again I am getting feedback from seniors as I work on it as well. I just didn't really know how to phrase " I am working on CIMs and have completed one on my own, as well as made industry slides and other slides for various deals, but with the advisory of current senior employees.

Ok great, that makes a lot more sense. I appreciate the feedback as well! Would you recommend getting more specific with the details of these points I've made? It's only an internship so a lot of this has been very surface level experiences.

Also should I focus on more modeling stuff? We don't do DCF's or anything because the companies we are selling are all private, so its mainly comps and precedent transactions.

Include a level of specificity that shows you know what you did (the resume template on this site is good) but don't write a book, that's what you'll discuss in the interview.

As for modeling, you want to show that you did some and know what you're doing. If it was just precedent and comp stuff, make it seem like you're the best precedent and comp finder there is and you added value by doing such a smart job.

Remember, your resume is the way to show an audience that you can do all of the requirements of the job, so they can get comfortable enough to spend time interviewing you. So spend some time looking up role descriptions and see if you can borrow some of the language from there too.

Sed iusto ut voluptates. Expedita perspiciatis adipisci odit et aliquid. Id aspernatur ducimus impedit qui repellat.
