Networking Email Help!

When writing networking emails, should you always be the one to finish the email conversation? For example I followed up with a banker from a networking call thanking him and got a reply that basically said that he enjoyed the conversation as well. Should I reply to him just to make sure I'm the one who ends the conversation - or is writing an email that adds no value pointless? I'm thinking of it like texting - I don't want to come off as rude and 'ghost' his last email. Am I overthinking this? Actually losing sleep over this and don't want to jeopardize a good connection over something so seemingly minute. Would appreciate any help.

you’re definitely overthinking. if he replied that great but there’s not much value to reply to something like that. it’s doesn’t come off as ghosting or rude. you’re fine. now go get some sleep.
