I would advise you to be careful of misinformation here. Given the number of H1Bs from India in the US, it's a pretty relevant topic for news there. When I was in middle school and high school and my dad was on an H1B, news from various different sources would be coming up all the time about H1B. It got frantic and scary, but we quickly learned only to react to news from US news sources or from USCIS/DHS themselves. Even Times of India unknowingly posts a lot of misinformation.

 

The official websites have the latest information, as the previous poster has mentioned. anything not on there is not relevant.
While the rules have been undergoing a lot of change, I would advise anyone going for the H1b to work with a legal professional. H1b is not a visa you can file yourself.

Indeed, I’m not aware of anyone not on TN or OPT getting H1B from their bank in the US

 

An earlier version of that rule has already been rejected in federal court. No reason why this would yield a different outcome. And even then, the Biden administration likely won’t have it implemented
