FP&A exit opps
Its been a busy time since I joined the FP&A team as off-cycle intern.
Although pretty funny, the role is very cyclical.
What are usually the exit opps?
By the end of the year I have to start an MSc.. my goal is to end in buy-side. (I will do the CFA L1 this Dec)
PS: I'm working in a F100 company, healthcare
Cheers
What's your day-to-day like, just out of curiosity? What kinds of things do you work on?
Well, essentially is performing quantitative (and qualitative) analysis of P&L and cash, performing budget and forecasts, projects and investments evaluation, comments on the YTD and MoM P&L for the shareholders and the stock exchange, assessing performance and debt ratio and so on. Sometimes meetings with internal and external auditors (big4). A lot of video-call conference with other analysts of other subsidiaries or with our accounting department.
Consider this x2 during quarter's period
Within the private equity space, I’ve seen my colleagues transition to more strategy specific development roles (similar to Corp. dev) or move to MM PE firms working at similar FP&A roles covering portfolio / fund performance.
