Nigerian Prince Email
This just hit my inbox. As far as Nigerian prince emails go, I think this is pretty weak. The spelling and grammar are great relative to the benchmark, but that backstory... I don't know how they could think they're fooling any south Florida retirees with that sh*t. Points for using gmail though. Also, congrats Benson on hitting GM!!
"Greetings,
My Name is Benson Ebo, I work with a financial Security company located in Lome Togo , and we have in our vault 75kg of gold deposited by Former Prime Minister of Libya Colonel Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi personal assistant. Three months ago I was promoted to the position of general manager and our company transferred me to our newly opened office in Ghana .
Now I have within my authority the ability of re-profiling deposit information of the consignment to be and released to you if you are willing to partner with me.
Please send me an email in confirmation of your receipt of this Email [email protected]
I look forward to your favorable reply.
Sincerely Yours
Mr. Benson Ebo"
Seems legit. You ghana email him?
LOL
Hahahahaha....too much
I hate Ted Talks, but this one is fantastic.
That was great. Thank you for sharing.
The greatest fallacy of the Nigerian Prince scam is that Nigeria is not a monarchy
Tribal leaders are called "kings" in Nigeria so the son of one would technically be a prince.
Touché! But do tribal leaders have bank accounts?
I truly do wonder who falls for these.
Benson didn't even spell his own last name correctly based on his email address. He needs to step up his game.
Email him back and tell him you need $50K in cash, upfront, to pay for penalty fees related to your sale of assets before you can send him the money. :)
Reading the email with a Chinese accent helps adds to the humor.
That awkward capitalization of Security...
Sorry mutha fuckas. I just sent in my deposit and that gold is MINE!!!!!
LOL
I think the kind of people who fall for this are usually 363 club members. You know, 'em Savings and Loans guys who Michael Lewis was talking about in Liar's Poker.
