No Drug Test provision in offer letter
I just received an offer from a boutique IB and it makes reference to my adherence with standard corporate policies and a reference check but it makes no reference to a drug test anywhere in the letter. Has anyone had any experience with this? Does this mean there is no drug test?
Would be safe to assume there is a drug section in their corporate policy. Wouldn't chance it. Can light back up after you've been there for awhile and know the actual policies.
Having interned and currently work for a boutique bank (interned at a separate bank in a diff state) I can pretty confidently say you won't be drug tested. Boutique banks don't have the money or time for that nor is it a FINRA requirement to complete your onboarding. It would really depend on the clients/industry vertical if you guys do government, infrastructure, defense type deals they are more likely. OBVIOUSLY you need to keep in mind the risk you take and if it is ultimately worth it....
This is false.
Stop taking drugs
I know this doesn’t answer your question, but just wait a little. It’s unbelievably stupid to fail a drug test for a job. From what I know many boutiques don’t drug test, but don’t risk it...just wait
No offer letter would include language about a drug test. It's not a full on legal doc, it's a term sheet.
Either don't do drugs or email HR asking what next steps are.
No drug test provision?
