non-finance major undergrad-grad, wish to shift career into finance, have a chance to dual degree + MBA, what should i do?

Hello all,

I need to make an important career decision and struggling if I am getting it wrong or if it is worth committing. Your advice will be hugely helpful.

I have a non-finance undergrad degree and currently in a graduate program (US TOP 5 RE related). After accepting a grad program, had a summer internship with Investment Management, found that I much enjoy Investment culture and its financial rewards and opportunity that are incomparable to my current career path. I desperately want to shift my career into finance (IB/PE) and been searching for the ways into the field.

I already spend too much doing other stuff (Around 3.5WE), and friends telling IB/finance is for undergrad students made me worry. However, as an option, I am looking at pursuing a dual major with an MBA with additional year commitment that current institution offer (US TOP 10?).

I want to know if MBA/Non-Finance dual helps me shift my career into IB, whether worth it.

Or would it be better to search an analyst job straight after my current program?

Thanks
