Non-profit attorney to PWM
I am looking for advice on a prospective career shift in a year or so. Licensed attorney managing all private gifts (estate, cgas, daf, individual endowments, etc) to a public university foundation with $600m+ endowment. Member of local estate planning council and state planned giving council. Private Liberal Arts-Business BA, and JD, with one year prior at law firm, civil litigation. Actively involved in community and charitable organizations. Looking in the southeast for PWM position at a regional institution. Fundamental/elementary investment and trust knowledge.
Any suggestions on:
1. Continued education: periodic reports, readings, class offerings(free at current employer).
2. Certifications: Series 7 and 66, have a readily available sponsor for both. any other designations- life insurance?
3. Employment: position and salary expectations
Thanks in advance for your help!
