Hi saw a couple of posts like this so I thought why not. Im going into my junior year at a Non target SEC school think (Ole miss, Arkansas, Alabama). I have a 3.4 right now I know that’s not a strong gpa but it is mostly based off of one really bad failed semester which after I retook all the classes and got As but I couldn’t erase all the old grades. I am a athlete and hold multiple leadership positions think (IB club president, investment club president, fraternity treasurer). I have had one internship that was not finance related ( law firm) and I will not get to intern at a small boutique ib firm due to corona. I was just wondering how this looks to BB and MM banks that I have networked at and ones that I haven’t. Is the gpa a resume killer? I saw that some did not make it past the pyrametrics for JPM and was hoping that since I passed that my hirevue will be more heavily weighed than resume.
