I thought this issue was only me until I read some other comments about it. Sometimes when I post a comment the website gives me an error, so I've gotten into the habit of Ctrl C before posting.
I don't know how to fix the issue (I have a hunch it's with the asynchronous properties if this is written in JavaScript, given that it's a website it's more likely than not). Wondering if anyone else has the same problems.

I'll back what he says though - the situation comes up maybe 10% of the time for me.
Also, a lot of times I give people SBs and it shows that I'm giving them one but it doesn't fully register. If I refresh, that SB I gave them doesn't exist.
I have had that + can't SB comments. I might need to throw away my mac and switch to windows
It's not a Mac vs Windows problem, it's with WSO. I've had this issue on Mac, PC, and mobile (iPhone).

Yes, I'll also occasionally get a javascript error notice when I try to submit, and if I don't copy my post it's gone upon refresh.
I notice that the longer I have my comment window open, the more often I seem to get an error. My hunch was the problem arose when another poster made a comment before I was able to submit mine. Strictly anecdotal...

Sometimes when I submit a comment I get some sort of AJAX error or something and it disappears. I have a habit of copying every long comment I type up now because I lost a really damn good post once.
I can only give like 3-5 SB's per day. Not sure why, but sometimes one thread will have 3-5 funny or helpful comments alone.
I can't toss MS 90% of the time. Why is there a limit? There was this one thread full of troll comments, and I think 10 MS were rightly deserved against the shitposter- alas, I was only able to throw one down. On the WSO app it tells me outright I'm not allowed to send MS at all anymore (but still works on desktop)?? I've never even abused that.

I didnt' think there was a restriction on SBs/day - I'll confirm if there is and what is was
MS is restricted to prevent abuse and targeting...I know that has a daily limit and/or limits on trying ot give 1 user a bunch of MS at once. This has helped our small mod team immensely
I think it's 2/day ....This was to prevent massive influxes of college students PMing professionals and getting advice in private to the benefit of nobody but themselves (and/or 1 student or spamming companies to PM all of our members)...we make almost no $ on it and the restriction is removed if you become certified. So certified users can use the PM function without any restriction... It's an anonymous forum. I get it if you want to take it offline, etc, but we want to protect the people that actually bring the most VALUE to the community -- ie the professionals.

I have the problem you describe as well as a few others. Often it will post with a character missing somewhere, like one of my words will be missing a letter. Also my edit button is sometimes gone.
The edit button vanished for me a few times too last year. Not recently though. Does it still happen for you?
