Not sure about GPA for interview
Hey guys,
I just started an internship at a GS/MS/JP S&T division recently but was looking ahead a bit to FT and planning in case of a change of heart of career path. I wonder if people think I would get interviews at MBB with a 3.6 GPA from HYP. I think I have good work experience (brand name government agency and then top BB) and good but not spectacular extracurriculars. (Nothing incredibly differentiating but could probably talk about well during interviews) My main concern is that my gpa is on the lower end. I understand that past the interview stage this shouldn't matter but I am concerned about getting interviews right now.
I got a 2400 SAT if that matters (My impression from bank recruiting is that it does).
For the sake of anonymity, I did not list my particular school but if someone wants to break down how my chances might differ based on the HYP schools because of difference in GPA standards that would be helpful. Also a social science major but have taken hard, quantitative classes.
Hi 2020econgut, the silence is deafening, sorry about that.... Any of the threads below helpful?
